Not every photographer is a good fit for every client. While I certainly hope I have the opportunity to capture some amazing memories for you, I understand that everyone has a different style and desire for their photos. Let's find out if we're the right fit!
My Style:
I'm sure you've seen those old studio photos - everyone in
a line from tallest to shortest, all probably wearing the same Hawaiian shirt and stiff blue jeans with arms wrapped around each other like they're headed to prom.
Well, we don't do that here.
(Except once, but that doesn't count.)
Candid. Classic. Fun.
Candid photography works to capture true interactions and personalities. Sure, there may be a bit of "turn your head to the left...perfect! Now look up and smile," but about half of our time together will be spent playing silly games, sharing stories, and laughing together. (A lot.) I'll also help guide you towards genuine interaction with prompts and tasks. Think: "play duck duck goose!" or "pick her up and spin!"
Originals? Nah.
I want you to love every photo you receive. Not every photo taken will be a great one. Your eyes were closed, she was scratching her nose. A fly was buzzing right in front of the camera. You get the point.
After your session, I review every photo taken, and select the good, great, and amazing shots to edit and deliver. I don't put a cap on the number of shots you'll receive. No watermarks, no limits, no up-charge.
Editing is the most important part of my work, and where I really make things come to life. It's what makes me unique. For this reason, I don't send out any original files. (Sometimes called RAW files.) Your computer won't be able to open them, and they're kind of...well, boring.

For all other sessions, it's super important that we chat first. I want to make your dreams come true, so discussing wardrobe, location, and vibe beforehand is imperative. This will also give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have before booking.
Once all that's settled, I'll send over your contract, invoice, and a questionnaire. For regular sessions, such as milestones or families, I'll reach out the day before your session to go over my shot list, and answer any additional questions. For more in-depth shoots, such as engagements and weddings - we will chat multiple times before your big day. I'm here to assist with anything you need.
